Scheme Change Punishments (Week 5/6)

Recommended Posts

Arkansas will be fined 5 scholarships for neither posting in the discord servers scheme change channel nor in the forum thread and tagging the opposing coach before changing schemes. While the admins should have communicated this rule properly, especially to a new user, the onus is still on the coach to make sure they have read through our documentation (which will also be improved soon). Texas A&M will not incur a penalty to their RES for this loss.

The San Francisco 49ers will be fined $2 million in cap space for 2022 for changing schemes without notifying the opposing coach. While they did post in the discord channel, they did not properly notify the coach (instead tagging the incorrect person).

While we could like to rerun these games, it is very difficult to do so and not create data inconsistencies as the week has progressed within our backend. For now, this is the final warning to all coaches that you must lost in both the forum post and the discord channel AND tag the opposing coach prior to making changes to your scheme. We will put notices with links on the interface as soon as we are able to in order to avoid this from happening unintentionally.

In the future, there will be built in penalties for changing schemes mid-season to simulate your team having to learn new playstyles.
