  2. lmao I totally misread that table. Moving up 10 spots to 36 is great. I've built up on a ton of mid 4 stars. Now time to get dem 5s
  3. Fantastic. Thanks for adding this. Only thing missing from the call out is Arkansas getting that free W ?
  4. RIP https://www.simfba.com/index.php?threads/ncaa-fbs-close-to-home-affinities.2340/#post-16803
  5. I blame Phill Knight who showed up with a 6 figure check
  6. I have to agree that RES as it is today feels too aggressive especially because there are still kinks in the sim that are being resolved. Seems like loses as a result can overly impact recruiting via RES. I also strongly feel the benefit of consistently putting points on a croot should be returned. IRL this is a very big thing. Schools that continue contacts for long periods of time almost always have a big advantage to those that just randomly do a full court press for a couple weeks.. For example 4* QB Austin Novosad was first contacted by Baylor and they continued on him. Later in the cycle bigger schools like ND, TAMU and some others put on the full court press but he said he went Baylor because of their consistent and early approach. Despite his parents both having gone to TAMU. The long relationship was too much to overcome. This year seemed like there's was so many instances of that happening and some with no warning. School A would be putting (albeit not large) points on a guy and School B not even on the radar. Then B jumps in and signs him out of nowhere.
  7. It happened again. 7 in a row since the Arkansas game drama. "We suck" - Texas A&M HC
  8. I believe there should be a more direct commitment decision timeline if multiple schools were in contention and 1 school has separated themselves for X number of weeks. By separated I mean all others are in the unlikely category and the leader is still putting points. Maybe this is a hold over from how the previous sim's recruiting works but being the lone leader for week after week, continuing to put heavy points AND no decision made can be extremely frustrating. I also realize this goes against the realism factor intended with the unknown commitment timeline per player but from a game playing perspective I think it should be adjusted for the conditions I mentioned
  9. Oscar Thomson ESPN Staff Writer Sunday, August 13th Reuben Spencer has been officially released 5 games into the 2022 Texas A&M season. Spencer, who is also responsible for arranging team travel, made some unforgivable mistakes in week 5. One of the premier SEC rivalries between Arkansas and Texas A&M decided to play its annual Dallas game in Atlanta for the first time. Coach Spencer was, somehow, unaware of the rivalry's location change and booked team flights, hotels, meals, etc. in Dallas for the weekend of 8/15. This was the first of two very irreparable decisions. Luckily, the error was identified early enough in the week so that the 3rd year DL coach was able to make arrangements last minute but cost the university a large sum of money in cancellation fees. The Aggies arrived in Atlanta late Friday night with just enough time to unload their bags at the team hotel and make it to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for a walkthrough after the Arkansas Razorbacks held practice. An exhausted Coach Spencer lay down on the first row of the bleachers when he noticed a laminated sheet that he thought was the Razorbacks' gameplan. It clearly described a run-heavy approach and the Aggies would prepare as such. Spencer was able to convince the defensive staff to pull an all-nighter preparing their team to play against a run attack with this sheet in hand. As turns out, one of the offensive Arkansas coaches planted the false flag. The game was too far gone and the coaches were too exhausted from their overnight session to adjust on the fly once they realized what had happened. Arkansas QB Chris Diaz would go on to throw for 47 attempts, up from just 29 the week before. He torched the 6-1-4 run-heavy Aggie defense for 365 yards and 5 TDs (more than doubling his previous 2 TD game) going on to win 35-33. "It's a sad day anytime you have to lose, but being duped in this manner in which I consider a very winnable ball game just makes things wore", Coach GigemAgs went on to say, "Rueben has been an elite recruiter and position coach for years but I had no choice but to let him go at this time". Aggies return home to Kyle field for a night matchup against the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday, August 20th. Coach Spencer won't be around to be duped again.
  10. How certain are you that your opponent is running the gameplan you expect?
  11. Wow, it's almost like that team was defending the run instead of being prepared for.....47 passing attempts....
  12. @Rocketcan I'm quitting the sim over this, ridiculous
  13. Arkansas (1-3) at #14 Texas A&M (3-1) (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) This is traditionally played at Jerryworld just FYI @subsequent
  14. Will the top performing QBs consider rushing in the future? Asking for a maroon friend
