Hi everyone, this is just to put on public record that there are a few teams that, for one reason or another, are scheduled to play more than on FCS team. This is mostly just affecting the Sun Belt as we started running out of FBS teams when creating the schedule.

Just a note to clarify - only one FCS matchup is allowed to count towards bowl eligiblity for FBS teams.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if a team had two FCS teams scheduled and lost both of them, but won six of their remaining 10 FBS matchups and finished the season 6-6, they would be eligble.

If that team finished the season with a 6-6 record but lost to six FBS teams, they WOULD NOT be bowl eligible.

If that team finished the season with a 6-6 record but lost to five FBS teams, they WOULD be bowl eligible.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following teams have more than one FCS matchup:

  • Appalachian State
  • Georgia Southern
  • Georgia State
  • Old Dominion
  • Louisiana
  • Arkansas State
  • Louisiana -Monroe
  • Troy <- THREE FCS teams on OOC
  • South Alabama
