An unbelievable Week 6 game as Colorado scores a touchdown as time expires to beat Cincinnati 30-23. It was an exciting duel between the big bodied Will Huber from Cincinnati and the crafty Jermey Cabral from Colorado, and lets take a look at another WR/CB matchup, this time we're going to Conference USA!

Week 7 Matchup of the Week

WR Aaron Greene, SR, USA vs CB Bobby Gonzalez, SR, ODU

This is going to be an absolute dog fight in conference play. Lets start with Old Dominion's Bobby Gonzalez. I mean just look at that player card, this guy is without a doubt one of the top corner backs in all of college football. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have Aaron Greene, a 6'-3", 220 lbs receiver that has 5" and over 30 lbs on Gonzalez. To date, Greene has 8 receptions on 13 targets for 57 yards and 1 TD, while Gonzalez leads the Monarchs with 3 INTs to go along with 13 Tackles, 1 FF, and 5 Pass Deflections.

Both players are coming off of excellent 2023 seasons. Greene having 96 catches for 1017 yards and 4 TDs as a #2 target behind now Titans TE Mike Urias, and Bobby Gonzalez with his 42 Tackles, 1 FF, 1 FR, 5 Pass Deflections and 4 INTs. Gonzalez seems to have been even better halfway through this season, while Greene hasn't clicked into form just yet.

You just can't overlook the size mismatch between these guys. Greene's not a big volume catcher, but he has an excellent quarterback in Buster Vielma (131 of 224 for 1230 yards, 12 TD, 4 INTs) that can get the ball into his catch radius. This will be an all out fight from Gonzalez to keep Greene from making too big an impact on Thursday night. But Gonzalez is touted as the best for a reason. This is one match up this author can't wait to watch,

Prediction - Going with the upset here. I think Greene is just too big for Gonzalez to handle. If Vielma can get him the ball, he's going to dominate this match up.
