Boston College Athletic Director on Mid-Season hire

Last season Boston College had a phenomenal season starting off 11-1 coming up short in their bowl game. However, after starting the season off 0-6 and suffering a 28-0 loss to Wake Forest last week. Boston College's athletic director has made the decision to part ways with their former head coach. Talks were already underway for this decision as of early last week, but after another crushing loss, and the chances of making a bowl game pretty much out of the picture the Eagles are looking to prepare the future. When asked about the decision mid-season after such success last year BC's AD responded:

"It seems like there has been a complete lack of preparation compared to last season. It's clear that the best players are not being put in the best position to win, it's as simple as that. The scheme is completely out of touch with the personnel that has returned this season, and we just can't become complacent with this program."

Following his response when asked about his decision to fire the football program's previous head coach he touched on his reasoning for choosing the program's new head coach Slyme.

"Some people may recognize the name noodlz2 from his past positions, and we've seen him be able turn a program around. We're very confident even though he was hired in the middle of the season he'll make us a competitive team throughout the rest of the season. We're hopeful that this program will be back to being a frontrunner within the next couple of seasons."

The Eagles and Slyme face an explosive Duke offense this week so we'll see how quickly he can prepare this Boston College team for their week 9 conference matchup. A win over the Blue Devils would set the tone leading into the Eagle's matchup against Notre Dame the following week. We'll see what the new Eagle's Head Coach has in store!
