South Bend, Indiana ---- It only took seven weeks, but the Irish finally received their first commitment of the Coach123 era. Daniel Habib of Jserra Catholic committed to the Irish over the likes of SMU, Arizona State, and New Mexico. Being a 5 star, he was a highly touted player who the Irish are lucky to have. Standing a 6'3 and weighing 241, he looks to be a receiving mismatch when he arrives in South Bend next fall. ESPN analysts have described him as a real impact player who will be a real game changer for the Irish. After impressing at several camps throughout the offseason the Irish offered him in Week 0 and fully committed to recruiting him as their No. 1 target. Coach123 was delighted with his commitment and looks forward to developing this young prospect into a superstar.
