Coach Base approaches the table met with a conglomerate of media wanting to ask questions:

CB: "After last week, we expect to beat Arkansas State. Our boys think that we can push this team further and further and potentially to a bowl bid come December. We're ironing out issues that were brought up offensively in our last game and the Defense is looking as sharp as ever. Any further questions?"

What kind of defensive identity do you want to mold these team into for the rest of the season?

Bro von Brosky, Independent Sports Press,

What do you think is the team's biggest challenge for their match against Arkansas State? What do you think the Trojans have an advantage of over the Red Wolves?

We want to be hard-nosed and fast in the hips. We are willing to give you those 1 or 2 yard gains but we want to contain you from hitting the edge and keep you within the numbers where one of our boys is ready to lay the wood on opposing players. Furthermore, we want a defense where our starters are equally reliable as our backups and practice squad. "Next man up" is an overused term nowadays but worthwhile to recognize the importance of the concept.

Everyone is well aware that our Offense is by far the biggest issue and producing yards against the Red Wolves will be harder than most would like it to be. But we've been working and the QBs have been hot in practice and consistently improving. Our top 2 WRs might be getting a few more reps this week as we've tried to simplify the gameplan to "Keep it Simple, Stupid" and limit mistakes on Offense and have our Defense carry us to a victory.

State is one of those stubborn bunches that seems to run a fairly familiar system and has for a very long time. Unless something drastic occurs they'll be back where we know them
