CINCINNATI, OH - The Cincinnati Bengals announced the acquisition of the team by new ownership this morning before collected media.

"The AFC North-leading Bengals are pleased to introduce our new owner, Ezaco. Ezaco will be taking over ownership, general manager, and coaching duties. This was a great deal for the people of Cincinnati and the Bengals organization, and though it was completed before Week 5 of this season, Coach Ezaco was careful not to ruin any balance the undefeated team had going into the Patriots matchup and did not assume any duties until today."

Much of that may have to do with the loss suffered by the Bengals at the hand of the Patriots. Previously 4-0 (3-0 AFC North), the Bengals were stopped in their tracks by a three-pronged New England offense they simply couldn't stop. It's likely a sign of things to come, as to this point the Bengals have probably overachieved, but the new ownership refused to comment on any of those fronts, sticking to the usual talking points of a promising future to compete.

That competition will face a quick and early test with Cincinnati heading to Detroit this weekend against a 3-2 Lions team that just shutout the Green Bay Packers.

The Bengals are undefeated right now, how are you expecting to handle jumping on to a moving train of sorts without disrupting the team's momentum?

Just to point out we're not undefeated anymore, unfortunately. The Patriots did get the best of us this weekend. But we are looking forward to maintaining a positive and winning culture to put together not just a great rest of the season, but future seasons as well and into the playoffs.
