With the 2021 season come to a close and signing day over, Washington State is welcoming over 18 recruits into its class. The cougars searched far and wide, attaining talent highly coveted both in the West Coast and the unfortunate Sunbelt region.

The Cougs sought to revamp the entire roster, focusing on a mix of defensive positions and OLine. The end result: finding hidden gems who are guaranteed to develop early and have a fulfilling legacy at Washington State.

With the 46th ranking in the SimFBA Composite Rankings, let's dive in to see some of the hidden gems in this recruiting class.

4 Star FB Jeremy Allen, Selah, WA

Archetype: Rushing

Height/Weight: 5'11" 220lbs

Description: Jeremy Allen fills in an immediate need at Fullback and will be an immediate impact player for the 2022. This will allow the Cougs to run new formations and build further into Tuscan's desired offensive system.

4 Star DE Terrence Shittu, Etiwanda, CA

Archetype: Balanced

Height/Weight: 6'4" 263lbs

Description: Terrence is recruiting to be a future leader for the Cougs defensive line. With a defense with the amount of impact as a plushie, Terrence will be an impact player who will help the Cougs get their "Shittu" together.

4 Star OG Robert Tartt, McComb, MS

Archetype: Run Blocking

Height/Weight: 6'2" 294lbs

Description: After a too-goddam long recruiting battle against both Tulane and Marshall, Washington State secured this beast of a Guard. Hailing from the godforsaken state of Mississippi, Robert Tartt is a future star for the Cougs offensive line. As a future SimNFL talent, Tartt will immediately impact and help the Cougs' run game to be more improved and efficient.

4 Star CB Shawn Bullard, Puyallup, WA

Archetype: Zone Coverage

Height/Weight: 5'11" 183lbs

Description: From south of Seattle comes Shawn Bullard, a cornerback from Puyallup High School. Bullard fills in an immediate need at cornerback and should see playing time very early. Of the cornerbacks the Cougs sought out in this class, Bullard is one who will be a stalwart player for years to come.

3 Star QB Meyers Ramirez, Lynden, WA

Archetype: Scrambler

Height/Weight: 6'0" 224lbs

Description: The Quarterback position at Wazzu may have some questions in the air after next season; but make no mistake, Meyers should be seen as the starter once Kevin Miller graduates. Meyers joins the Cougs with a much-needed skillset to run the Tuscan's run-focused offense and will be able to learn the system early. Despite receiving no invitation from the Elite 11 QB competition, Meyers has an upside that the Cougs honed in on, and should be paying dividends for seasons to come.

5 Star P David Ross, Tuscon, AZ

Archetype: Power

Height/Weight: 6'1" 210lbs

Description: Make no mistake, this is the signing of the century. David Ross was sought out immediately Week 1 by the Cougs and signed on after Ross led a miraculous comeback for Tuscon High School to make it to the playoffs. Having played not only as their starting Punter, but as an All-Purpose-Back and emergency-situation QB, WR, and Linebacker, David Ross is the swiss army knife of college football. Stacking up over 700 rushing yards, 900 receiving yards, 2000 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, 6 rushing touchdowns, 4 receiving touchdowns, 21 defensive interceptions, 23 tackles, and 8 defensive sacks, David Ross rallied the Tuscon High School Buffalo to a State Championship in Arizona, flattening the competition. While he has brought life to the Buffalo's offense and defense, the real benefit comes from his foot: David Ross has punted footballs out of stadiums and into unsuspecting civilian's back yards from halfway across Phoenix.

Washington State brings in David Ross not only for his amazing abilities as a punter but will be used in special offensive and defensive situations. May God have mercy on the Pac 12 and college football.
