WR Christian Bembry, San Diego State

Christian Bembry, the Senior out of Paintsville, Kentucky had a flashy debut in Week 1, catching 11 receptions for 283 yards and 4 touchdowns as the San Diego State Aztecs defeated the UTEP Miners 45-17. Bembry figures to be the focal point for this Aztec offense that has dreams of a MWC championship.

ILB Nat Ulis, UNLV

Nat Ulis was one of the few bright spots on an otherwise disappointing opening night for UNLV. The Rebels fell to Arizona State 27-7, but Ulis made his presence known in the game with 6 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and an interception.
