Preseason Fun Scrim Stats (or how I learned to play 51 games in 13 weeks)

Come hither for some fun statistics about nationwide leaders in this inaugural scrim season. Further details available upon request.

 

This year we have played 842 games!!! in 13 weeks!! With 61 total teams participating!

 

First let's look at the teams who played the most:

• Tennessee (51 games, went 34-17)
  
• Bowling Green (45 games, 20-24)
  
• UNLV (43 games, 21-22)
  

A quick subjective "best performing" teams:

USC (15-3), North Texas (14-3), Kansas State (18-6), Tulsa (10-2)

 

Highest scoring teams (minimum 10 games)

1. Kentucky (31.2 ppg)
   
2. Tulsa (30.5 ppg)
   
3. North Texas (28.53 ppg)
   

Best defensive teams (min. 10 games)

1. USC (13.39 ppg allowed)
   
2. Kentucky (14.3)
   
3. Baylor (14.86)
   

Best point differentials are (unsurprisingly) - Kentucky, USC, North Texas

 

Worst average yard differential - Vanderbilt was outgained on average by 152 ypg because they suck and are big stinky doo-doo heads

 

QBs whos arms are about to fall off:

• Jurickson Elflein (Bowling Green) - 1,149 pass attempts, 28 per game
  
• Kyle Gabriel (Massachusetts) - 1,037 pass attempts, 43/game
  
• Tyler Walden (East Carolina) - 1,011 attempts, 43/game
  

Our first 10k yard passer! Finally in his senior year Cedric Marsh (Tennessee) has passed for 10,101 yards after starting for... 80% of a single preseason.

 

The 60/30 club - One-upping Jameis, Brandon Smith (Kansas State) may need Lasik, he had the 2nd most TD/game and most INT/game of any players (66 TD - 33 INT)

Seriously though, I am cautiously optimistic about how this season can go. I think I might know how the offense is blending together and I think I am getting the hang of the defense. Hopefully I can put it all together and really show how good the team can be! I also didn't realize I had scored over 30 PPG
