Final Week of the regular season tidbits!
  • Jackson has the #1 seed locked up and will have a first round bye in the playoffs after a warm-up game against Atlanta.
  • New York also has the #2 seed locked up by winning the East despite losing. Miami would have needed to win out to win the East, thus giving New York the East and a first round bye.
  • The #3 seed will go to either Portland (who wrested control of the division back again) or Seattle. If Seattle loses OR Portland wins, the division is Portland's. Seattle would need to win and Portland would need to lose for Seattle to win the West.
  • Miami and Chicago are both locked into the playoffs now, despite Miami's loss. The seeding is yet to be determined, but both have punched their tickets.
  • Minnesota is currently precariously hanging in the balance. They currently hold the #6 seed, but would need to win to secure it. The good news is that they control their destiny, and if they take care of business in San Diego, they will be the last team in.
  • So far the only eliminated teams are Atlanta, San Diego and Dallas (by virtue of an 0-6 division record, they would win almost no tie-breakers).
  • That leaves Cleveland and Dakota. Cleveland winning AND Minnesota losing would get them in. For Dakota, they would need a win AND a Minnesota AND Cleveland loss. Unfortunately for them, that is quite a bit of help necessary.
  • The "First overall pick" is currently locked in as well as the basements of the divisions. That means that this offseason, Atlanta will receive 5 free rolls for increasing attributes, and San Diego and Dallas will both have 4.
