This weeks Tidbits:
  • Jackson has become far and away the most likely #1 Seed as the playoffs approach. The only way New York gets it is if they win out and Jackson drops week 16 as well. Jackson also locked up the Central Division crown a week or so ago.
  • New York has dropped two straight to finish divisional play, and is at risk of losing the division to Miami despite holding it for most of the season.
  • The West continues to be a wasteland of chaos, with Portland losing in spectacular fashion to Seattle. Seattle now takes the division lead thanks to probably one the most efficient (80%+ completions) and explosive (300+ yards 3 TDs) passing attacks this year.
  • Also, Seattle can thank being the only team in the West with a positive point differential. Seattle and Portland are both 7-7, split head-to-head play, and have the same division record, leaving point differential as the last tie-breaker.
  • There are 4 teams at 7-7 trying to squeeze into that last playoff spot. Cleveland currently holds it thanks to division record, but there are still two weeks to go and plenty of chances to change this all up.
  • New York clinches the East with a win AND Miami loss.
